Vo-Ag Teacher
Mr. Van Heule graduated from Lander Valley High School in 1998, where he was active in football, track, and, most importantly, the agriculture program and FFA. His experiences in agriculture during high school helped shape the direction of his life and ultimately led him to a career in agricultural education. He showed steers at jackpot shows, the Fremont County Fair, and the Wyoming State Fair, gaining firsthand experience in livestock production and the agricultural industry.
After high school, he attended Northwest College in Powell, where he was a member of the Livestock Judging Team. He then continued his education at the University of Wyoming, earning his degree in Agricultural Education. While at UW, he remained heavily involved in competitive livestock evaluation, participating on both the Livestock Judging Team and Wool Evaluation Team. The Wool Team won the prestigious Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo wool evaluation contest and placed second at the National Western Stock Show.
Outside of school, Mr. Van Heule is married to Jill. Together they have four children and three grandchildren. His family, agriculture, FFA, and his students remain some of the most important parts of his life.
