Yearbook-Mr. Wiley - 5 Assignments

Pick a teacher/para and write a short profile on them. Conduct 3 interviews:
1 with the teacher, and 2 with a couple of their students.
3 pictures - mix of teaching, life outside school, etc. Make 'em look goooood.
1 picture should be a quality portrait of your chosen teacher.
1 picture may be from our yearbook stash!
Write a single page article (10 - 12 sentences) using your interview material.

Organize it on canva, a slide, or other graphic organizer.

We're posting these publicly, so professionalism is a must!!

Add them to a Google slide presentation
Write a full caption for each of them (complete with kicker and the three part main caption formula).
Submit and be prepared to share them with the class

4 images edited with cool filters and/or cropping
2 cutout images with cool backgrounds
2 cutout collages
2 images edited with words on the page
2 images edited with stickers on the page
2 images edited with animation included
1 image doing anything creative with editing you would like

ALL PHOTOS/EDITS MUST BE SCHOOL APPROPRIATE!  You will not receive credit for content inappropriate for school!

Show What You Know 
~Yearbook Sales Project~

Purpose: In yearbook class, you will be asked to demonstrate a variety of skills in creativity, computation, and communication. In this project, you will show your skills in those areas.
Task: Create a unique (different from others in the room) thematic “Yearbooks are on sale” poster for the hallway.  Use some variation on our theme -

2024 We Are All Stars

Requirements:
Develop a catchy theme.
Use a photo that captures the spirit of your theme.
Using Google Slides or Google Docs or CANVA create a printable poster 8.5 X 11 that incorporates the theme and the photo. 
Smart and tasteful use of color and font
Include the price of the book = $40 preorder and the date to buy = February 1st.  $50 after... $50 for last year's book.
Other notes:
You may work in pairs (two people) or alone. 
You must post your project to Google Classroom (here).
Grading Criteria 
A clear, catchy, and original theme ------------------------- 2 points
A picture, inserted into the poster--------------------------2 points
Creative, neat, smart use of color and font-----------------2 points
Free of grammatical errors----------------------------------2 points
Saved correctly for viewing/sharing------------------------2 points
Includes $ and date information correctly-----------------2 points
