Special Education
I grew up in a small town outside of Billings, Montana called Shepherd. From there, I got my Associate of Arts degree at Northwest College in Powell, Wyoming. At that point, I decided to pursue becoming an art teacher. I received my teaching degree from the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley and moved back to Montana to teach art in another small town, Roundup.
After a couple of years, my husband’s work brought us to Wyoming. We spent about 10 years in Douglas. When my boys were school age, I also got back into the school system as a paraprofessional at Douglas Intermediate School.
I loved working in special education, so when we moved to Thermopolis in 2014, I got a job as a paraprofessional at RWE and enrolled in Black Hills State University online to get my special education endorsement.
I am thrilled and honored to now be a special education teacher at the high school!
